Spring Break

Spring break started quietly for me but not everyone else. Most friends left and heading to their favourite vacation.. places like New York City, Miami Beach, Las Vegas.. just to name a few. I usually go on vacation whenever there's a break, not this time. It's not just one simple reason that is holding me back from vacationing. Well, couple of them.. financially tight, job hunting & future doubts. Since graduation, I am no longer getting any money from parents. It's not their decision, it's my decision not to take any from them since I had a part time job. It's just enough to cover my daily expenses. I have to learn to make ends meet.

Job hunting is a nuisance! Every fresh graduate knows this. I had an interview with a Japanese Electrical company in Detroit, Michigan, USA last week. It wasn't an ordinary interview mainly because of my limited knowledge in Japanese language. I was stressed, nervous and excited at that time. However, it was all good at the end.. relieved when it was over. The only complains I had were the driving part. I rented a Dodge Stratus with only 13k miles in it and it took me approximately 3 and a half hours one way. When I was driving back after the interview, I was dozing off frequently. It's dangerous. Some say it's worse than driving drunk. I tried many things to keep me awake.. blasting the music outloud, buying starbucks coffee, a few short breaks for snacks, etc. Well, I was glad that I arrived home safely.

I'm still hunting for jobs. This break would be a good time for me to relax and think of the options I have for my future. At some days, I miss home. I miss my family, friends and the food. No.. I don't miss the hot & humid weather. I want to see my mom to tell her how great she is. She called me occasionally and always ask me if I have enough money. She's recovering from an illness and I wish I could be there to cheer her up. I just want to thank my parents for what they had done. I'm a mature responsible grown-up and what i have now.. is because of my mom and dad. Get well soon, Mom!

Place of the week - Malaysia

F1 MALAYSIA 2005 SEPANG CIRCUIT : 18th-20th March 2005

Malaysia is the place of the week. Any Malaysians that is currently studying or working overseas will miss this weekend's very special Formula One event. Over the next few days, the world will be watching Malaysia as the F1 race is one of sports' biggest events. The Formula One World Championship is held in different countries all over the world throughout the year. Our very own Sepang F1 cicuit is one of the world's best, unique and challenging circuit. With the existence of F1, what's Indy Car Racing, Nascar or whatever? These are nothing compared to F1. I love F1 for a few simple facts - speed, cars and the official F1 circuit. The world's best drivers, cars and engineering team are there at this spectacular event to compete. I'm a true Ferrari fan.

With the Formula One event going on in Malaysia, The Forces of Nature Foundation will kick off an extravaganza free concert at Putra Stadium Malayia. Check it out.. the link for Malaysians abroad and Malaysians at home would not want to miss this. I really wish now to be in Malaysia for the concert & the Formula 1 event. Black Eyed Peas, Boyz II Men, Wyclef Jean, Lauryn Hill and many more internation artist.. all gonna be there for the concert.

On top of these happenings, there's a gala dinner for over 680 people to be attended by the King & Queen, the Prime Minister and his Cabinet. Amont the guests, from world champion F1 driver to celebrities like Baywatch actress Carmen Electra, international stars Jackie Chan, Datuk Michelle Yeoh, Bai Ling and Nicholas Tse. Singing at the dinner would be jazz singer Diana Krall, and Malaysian Idol Jackie Victor. Said All Sports Services Sdn Bhd director Hafez Mohamed, who travelled to several F1 host countries recently: “These are big names and they attract the media wherever they go. So Malaysia will be on the world map.” As Malaysians set to go stargazing, one popular story going around is that American Idol judge Paula Abdul is coming. So is media tycoon Rupert Murdoch, but no one is confirming this talk.

What a week to settle down.. terrific! fabulous! awesome!

How To Stop Procrastinating

We have hundred and one reasons to procrastinate.. why??? I do that all the time.. for my homework last time, bill payments, filing my taxes.. etc. It's a devastating habit that one should avoid. Is there strategy to counter this evil habit? Nothing will help if you don't help yourself. I wanna change!! ..to be a better person ..to make this world a better place. Imagine you're doing the same shit everyday.. & 1 day you realize.. you need to do something better in life, & it's been 2 years doing nothing. Do something great! Live everyday like there's no tomorrow. Get out.. do something.. help people.. socialize.. compliment people.. hug people.. make people around you feel that they can't live without you.

Stop procrastinating. Tasks to be done: File my Tax, Take GRE test, Start selling my unused stuff, Apply & Apply for jobs, Read the books that I plan to read, Start thanking every single friend of mine for being my friend...

Hope the site below helps.

Night life in Columbus

February 27, 2005

That's Adam on my right and Keng Yong a.k.a. Yao, my roommate. People call him Yao(Yao Ming) because of his height. So what!? I could jump higher than him on basketball court. Hehe.. He's a real nice guy and known for the superb terms like 'solid', 'set' the hair, 'spirit', 'shit is dripping out(in Chinese)', 'look at her milk(in Chinese)' and many more(yet to come). Hahaha.. Everybody loves KY! Life is not the same without you.. roomie!!

Enough of KY the KY jelly or KY safe sex campaign. Haha.. Anyway, we were all dressed up and ready to go out. Long street club is the club we went to. This place is sweet and it's da place for raves. The next place we discovered lately and will be the next best hang out spot is the Carlile club near Short North. The club is awesome.. with the breath-taking deco and the crowd! Sound system is great.. one can feel the bass bleed through the speakers. If only they play more trance.. that would be perfect!
