World cup finals day

It's showing at 11am pacific time here in California. Waking up at 8am and thinking what's up for today's sunny Sunday. Then I start questioning myself.. what am I off the bed this early while the rest of the people are most probably still in bed. Am I getting insomnia? Maybe not! cause I think I slept quite well yesterday. I think it's just the weekend.. you know what.. weekend can be a saint or evil at the same time. Why? Because you(weekend) likes to play around with my sleeping pattern! I think I can't blame anyone except myself. If I party/clubbing, I'll sleeep LATE and wake up LATE the next day.

Realize that you read articles that recommend good sleeping habits like.. going to bed the same time to keep a good sleeping pattern and sleep at least 6-8 hours for us (not gonna disclose my age). Come on.. it's bull sh!t. I think it should be the other way.. older people should sleep more and younger and happening people should sleep less. That's how it should be! I wanna see hands.. people.. agree with me? I think I'll win this case and also with the show of hands I've seen earlier. Thanks again.

We the younger generation.. the Gen Y have so much stuff to do. There's no need to explain further.. since I still have some time waiting for some friends to wake up and I as usual being a nice guy again.. I'll explain a lil bit. Isn't it obvious.. we have football to watch or I mean soccer. It's showing at 11 am today but 2am in Malaysia. I'm pretty sure the mamaks are gonna be so busy fying Maggi goreng and making all kinds of 101 names of Roti for these football fanatics. We cheer.. we eat.. we swear.. we scout for chics (hoping that some chics are out watching football).. we shout.. we get emotional when your favorite team win or lose.. we don't give a damn what's coming tomorrow.. we just want to watch a good finals!

BRING IT ON.. World Cup 2006 finals!!

Father's Day

Just want to share this with the world that my father is the best father in the world. I cannot forget what he had provided when I was growing up. The love he has provided for his family all this while has touched our hearts. It's not an easy ride to support 4 children. But he's a happy man not because of money but FOUR golden children. Every single one will make a difference in this world and for a better generation. Again, you're the best dad! Stay healthy and I shall see you soon. ~Happy Father's Day!

Decisions

Decision making is a big thing - so big that it'll change your life. Life is full of decisions. I often have no clue with what I want when comes to decision making. The word 'regret' should not even be in the picture. Make the choice and go for it.. doesn't matter if it's right or wrong. Encountering obstacles along the way? Face it and solve it - never runaway. It'll make you a better person. ;)

Say something nice

Say something nice to someone and see how things coming your way. Don't expect people to change if you want a change. You make the 1st move and eventually things will change. Even though you think that you are always right and he/she might think the same too. Your next step is to compliment someone if you get the chance. =)

Andy Lau

I was hanging out with Andy Lau last weekend, 22nd of April. You must be thinking.. for realz??? Yeah, Andy Lau the Hong Kong star. He's here for the San Francisco International Film Festival and he's promoting the movie All About Love. He arrived on the 22nd, Saturday noon and left on the 25th, Tuesday morning. Anyways.. I was bowling with Andy Lau in a secluded bowling alley in south SF - a lane next to him. Not good enough to bowl with him cause he's darn good man! He was averaging bout 200. The majority of the people inside were Americans and they didn't even know who the hell he is. I went with a group of friends and we're the only Asians. My friend was taking care of Andy Lau and that's why we knew anywhere he went to. hehe. I still can't imagine I met a star up close. Well, he's actually really friendly and took pictures with us.

My home Malaysia

I'm back in Malaysia for 3 weeks. Time flies.. isn't it? I have about less than a week left in Malaysia. I always tell myself that everytime I wake up.. try to spend the day as if there's no tomorrow. Imagine you're doing nothing and just bum around for a month.. and you have actually wasted 1 month of your life. Are you happy with your life now? That's what matter most. Life is about happiness. There're no rules to live but to live your life happily. I am really happy to be back.. and I have mix feelings now. One.. I don't want to go back.. Two.. I want to go back and work hard. Meeting up with old friends are awesome.. just like old times.. giving each other nicknames.. and to joke around spontaneously. We hang out just like old times.. we click together so well.. with respect and trust.. we are still very close in a group.

gtg now.. one of my friend's coming.. going out =)

Las Vegas trip

Dude.. what you're looking at is the Eiffel Tower in Vegas. Why Eiffel Tower? When you think of the tower.. what comes next.. PARIS!! Bingo.. It's Hilton hotel.. and so.. "let's put a freakin' huge Eiffel Tower in front of my hotel", Paris Hilton said. ;) Honestly.. it's as tall as the real one in Paris. I'm not surprise if it's true. Well I've been to Paris and also been up to the Eiffel Tower.. that was long time ago when I was.. 12 i guess. Before I went to Vegas.. people I met in California were like.. "you haven't been to Vegas??? What??". I was like... "So... you haven't been to Paris? Germany? London? Switzerland?" hehehe.. I've been to those places. One reason is Vegas is just next to the state of California. Well, it's quite far from here.. San Jose.. bout 9 hours? ..from Los Angeles.. it's only 3 and a half hours. I really really wanna visit LV again.

Las Vegas

Las Vegas trip

Visited Las Vegas during Thanksgiving. Guess what.. my 1st time. I had been hearing a lot about Vegas.. so finally!! It's incredibly awesome place to visit.. if you're loaded. Well, you'll still enjoy if you're on a budget.. free shows are available in every hotel and there's always McDonalds (they are everywhere.. scary!!). lol. I really have to give credit to the hotels in LV. I can't describe in words.. you have to see it for yourself. The money spent on deco is unbelievable. If only I have a sophisticated mega mega pixels camera, I'll be soooooooo busy snapping left and right. Oh well, with my low end "Make every shot a PowerShot" SD200.. it's good enough to capture memorable moments with my buddies in LV. I believe my SD200 has 3.2 Megapixels.. I really wanna upgrade but not right now.. so broke after LV trip. Not only that.. it really hit me when my status changed from OPT -> H-1. Oh my freakin' god.. I have to pay bout extra $200 in taxes per month. That's bullsh*t.. I dunno man.. trying very hard to survive now.. cutting down on my spending. What? OPT? H1? Okay.. OPT is Optional Practical Training for international students to hunt for jobs withing a year. Once a job is found.. company will sponsor H1 & that's the working permit and it lasts up to 6 years. Working = no life. ;)

Friendship

The friendship quotes on this page capture the essence of this all important relationship. Unlike family, you choose your friends. Like a lover, a friend is someone you invite into your life. Friendship is a privilege--although you have many acquaintances in life, you may have few true friends.

Friendship is a privilege. Often times we find out who are friends are when things are tough. It's the people who stick by us, who guide us through rough waters, who inspire us when we are down that we can count as friends. Although you may grieve the betrayal of someone you counted as your friend, know that it's better to know that to be betrayed again. Perhaps my favorite friendship quote on this page comes from my therapist husband, Larry Ramirez: "A friend brings out the best in you." Use this to guide your determination as to whom you call a friend.

Quote 1:
"A friend is a person with whom I may be sincere. Before him, I may think aloud."

Quotation 2:
"A Brother may not be a Friend,
but a Friend will always be a Brother."

Quote 3:
"A friend brings out the best in you."

Quote 4:
"Be a Friend to thyself, and others will be so too."

Quotation 5:
"Best friend, my wellspring in the wilderness!"

Quote 6:
"A friend is a second self."

Quote 7:
"My foul-weathered friend."

Quote 8:
"The only way to have a friend is to be one."

Quotation 9:
"Your friend is the man who knows all about you, and still likes you."

Quote 10:
"A friend in need is a friend indeed."

E46

That's the model of my 2003 BMW 325i. I was away over the weekend and I really miss my car. At the moment, that's the most important thing with me now in my life. I treat it like my girlfriend, lol.. maybe because I don't have one yet. It's been weeks since I washed her and pampered her. I feel really bad now treating her like this.. ditched her for several weekends already. I'll make sure I get her cleaned and polished this weekend.

Does anyone know why am I taking so long changing the light bulbs for my car head lights?? It took me 2 hours++. Oh my f.. god! It's easy to get the whole light bulb and the connector out. But it's a pain in the butt putting back in. It's because I bought some Xenon light bulbs from ebay and wanted to have a whiter & brighter lights for my car. Dude.. my hands really hurt when changing the damn light bulbs. Don't laugh.. the connectors were being so stubborn.. didn't want to be fit in place. In a bmw forum, there are DIY articles and they rate filling air for tyres a level 1 and changing the brake pads a level 2 and reconstructing the engine a level 10. Man.. I think my light bulbs changing experience deserved a freakin' level 3 at least.. sounds ridiculous but that's how I felt. I was twisting and turning the connector and it wouldn't lock in position.

Halloween weekend

It was one tiring halloween weekend! The time is switched back 1 hour earlier because of daylight time savings. I felt great during the time change.. it feels like there's an extra hour to spend.

Anyways.. I'm back to work now.. feeling the Monday blues. It was a smooth flight back to San Jose from LA except the minor turbulence. Listening to my ipod while looking out at the clear beautiful sunny sky.. I felt flying so much easier and relaxing compared to driving. Even though it feels awesome driving an ultimate driving machine, but 6 hours of driving is no easy task.

Love Parade San Francisco

September 24th weekend is 1 of the best weekend I ever had. Keng Yong, Calvin, Louis, Daniel and Melvin were the LA buddies that came for the Love Parade rave. Top DJs performing like Carl Cox, Ferry Corsten, Markus Schulz, Bad Boy Bill, Paul Van Dyk and many more. We paid $60 each to see Carl Cox, Ferry Corsten, Markus Schulz, Bad Boy Bill.. performing in an auditorium near City Hall San Francisco. PVD was at another place spinning along with another DJ. Since we had already checked out PVD last time in LA.. so we decided to go for the ones I just mentioned. I can't describe the experience I had that night. It's the friends that I was with and great music! My fav DJ that night was Markus Shulz. Even though he's ranked 29th in "the dj list".. I think he deserved to be in the top 10. Ferry Corsten was great too.. but I'm not a big fan of his style. Before this event, I had already seen Ferry Corsten and Markus Schulz performing in San Francisco. Anyways.. I still miss Tiesto! When Ferry Corsten played the very last track for the ending.. I thought it sounded like Tiesto music.. I'm serious.. really sounds like "Adagio For Strings"... well I don't know why is it so similar. And of course.. adagio for strings is still better. lol.
